International art fair ART Stage Singapore concentrates on the art scene in the Asia Pacific. ART Stage features over 120 contemporary and modern art galleries from 26 countries and contrasts Asia Pacific art with Western art galleries. Supported by various government agencies, ART Stage aims to secure Singapore’s position as both a vibrant city and as leading arts destination on an international scale. Timepiece: Nixon The Chronicle
Nixon recently launched their latest model, The Chronicle. Available in five new colorways, each version features a custom solid stainless steel band, equipped with a double-locking clasp for a secured fit. Hajime Sorayama “1970-2010″ NYC Exhibition:
For decades, celebrated Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama’s iconography has explored the themes of desire, pleasure and pain fusing these experiences in images of men, women, consumer goods and weaponry. On display now at the Gering & Lopez Gallery in New York is an encompassing retrospective spanning the last four decades of Sorayama’s illustrious career. Surrealistic depictions of Hollywood starlets, pin-up models and lustrous chrome skinned robots in erotic poses is as much a commentary on our conceptions of glamor and sexual desire, as well as the shifting mores and ideal of society progressing through the years of wars and progression of technology. The exhibit runs until February 19 so be sure to stop by and check it out if you’re in the vicinity.

Finding Vivian Maier Chicago Street Photographer:
Back in 2007, real estate agent John Maloof stumbled upon a box of old photographs belonging to a then unknown Vivian Maier. Only until after the death of Maier did the French-American amateur photographer gain any sort of praise or attention. Further rummaging around, John Maloof would go on to acquire a second part to the collection amassing in total over 100,000 negatives and 30,000 printed photographs. With the ability to capture the right moment thanks to either luck or pure intuition, an exhibition titled Finding Vivian Maier: Chicago Street Photographer will feature the first retrospective of the photographer at the Chicago Cultural Center starting Friday, January 7. From the luxury house Montblanc, more commonly associated with pens, the Montblanc Time Walker TwinFly is an automatic chronograph watch. Set to be presented at SIHH 2011, the mechanism will be surrounded in a 43 mm stainless steel case with a scratch-resistant matte black DLC coating. The strap is in black leather and the machine features a Montblanc caliber MB LL 100 automatic column wheel chronograph movement with vertical disk clutch and is water resistant to 100 meters. The caliber features a twin-barrel winding system that stores enough power to animate the watch for as long as 72 hours. This sober and robust piece is limited to only 300 pieces and will be available at the price of €8,950 (approx. $11,950 USD).
